Teenagers have done some stupid things in the past, and that isn’t something new. However, it is rare that the consequence they have to face is televised as such. In a way, it is a good thing that this story is getting this much focus. Maybe this way teens can reclaim their hold on common sense rather than to running after ridiculous stunts to make them look cool.

Recently a video had been posted of a girl standing on a bridge. The girl seemed to be attempting to jump off the bridge and into the water below. However, it appeared that the height was a bit too much for the individual and she had a change of heart. At that very moment, we see that one of her friends decides to give her a helping hand and she pushes her off the bridge.

Due to the angle at which she as falling and her not being prepared for the plunge. The girl landed face flat on the water. Now if you fall from a height of 60 foot into water stomach first, it is going to cause some problems to say the least. And rest assured there were numerous medical complications with the girl pushed off the bridge.

16-year-old Jordan Holgerson suffered multiple broken ribs, a punctured lung, and air bubbles in her chest, bruised esophagus as well as other injuries on her body. The bridge in question is the Moulton Falls Bridge in Yacolt, Washington. Taylor Smith, the one who pushed her off the bridge, claims that it was Jordan herself that asked her to push her off the bridge if she got scared and tried to back out. In other statements, Taylor has made clear that she never intended anything bad to happen and that she thought nothing bad could happen. To her it was just fun and games, no one was supposed to get hurt in the process.

In the video

we can hear that Jordan refused to jump off and after she does Taylor pushes her off, now we can say that it could’ve been the case that Taylor was telling the truth or that she thought that this was a good opportunity to prank her friend who was scared of the height she was at.

On Friday Taylor was given overseen release from the court. At the moment she is allowed to attend school, but she can’t leave the area nor contact Jordan. The next court date is set for December 4th. The current charges on Taylor are “reckless endangerment.” And if she is found guilty, it will be a something around a year in jail or a $5000 fine.

Let’s see how it will play out.
